Garlean's Worst Nightmare:
Maximiloix has gained a reputation from his itch to commit war crimes. He absolutely loathes loyalists, born or assimilated, with some deep-seeded passion - and will take all of his rage out on them whenever he feels the want to. From torturing to hands down massacring as many as he can, leaving trails of blood from organ-harvested bodies.

One with the Void:
Those that are highly sensitive to aether might find themselves uneasy in Maximiloix's presence. Nothing quite gives it away, but something sits very wrong with him. Maybe it's the layers and layers of glamours? Or maybe it's the somewhat sickening faint cloud of void magic that surrounds him where he goes.

RP Hooks

School Days:
Over forty years ago, Maximiloix built a school in the Brumes with his husband - to offer free education to any one who might have wanted it. These studies went from things as simple as basic life skills, general education; and up to advanced history and magic. If they had the resources, they could teach it.
He taught there for thirty years before leaving it in the care of his grandson, but occasionally returns to teach a lesson or two where he can. He continues to offer free tutoring to those who seek him out for it, as well.

Steal from the Rich:
Maximiloix’s name is disgustingly familiar within the Dzemael house as a thief. A sixty year old grudge against the man who got filthy rich off of stealing their wealth, a grudge he shares back after the house was responsible for ruining a good few years of his life.
He continues to try and get away with taking more from those known to have money, mostly by overcharging for wares or services nowadays; and almost always has ulterior motives when working with nobles.

Give to the Poor:
Growing up in poverty in the Brumes, he learned the skills he needed to provide for himself - and above all, others. He put himself to the test to provide as much firewood, shelter, clothing, and food to those whom he had grown alongside - or those that grew alongside him. Anyone with a good enough sob story can pull on his strings faster than a puppeteer can a marionette.
If your character is from the Brumes as well, his name would be well familiar in many situations regarding the sharing of said supplies. He continues to make frequent trips to the Brumes to deliver more when he can.

A Seat in the House of Commons:
Due to, not only, Maximiloix's consistent work with and in the Brumes, but his extensive knowledge of the people and area - he has earned himself a proper seat in the House of Commons; and is likely well known to those that frequent meetings between they and the House of Lords.

Friends High and Low:
His tendency to keep busy has gained him friends high - in the Grand Companies; where he offers his services as a tutor in magic and stratagem in exchange for current world news. He has also participated in battles under various Grand Company standards as a healer and strategist.
He digs himself low, too, however, and has made many friends among pirates, thieves, dealers, and more when he became a provisioner of both legal and illegal drugs - and has somehow kept himself under the radar enough to not sully is higher reputations.

Keeping Up With the Voilinauts:
Maximiloix has an extensive family tree - all (or at the very least, most) of which stems in Ishgard. It definitely wouldn't be too difficult to know of him, just from association, or even passing!
If your character is in the know of things in Ishgard, it may even be possible to trace his surname back to the minor noble Voilinaut house, under House Durendaire.
